Sunday Sonnet

Quiet moments of pure joy.

I stare at the clouds, like a child with a toy.

Happiness and peace are one.

I cannot but feel my stress is done.

Look around, absorb the light.

Two birds squawk, I hope they do not fight.

Blossoms and leaves everywhere.

When I’m outdoors, I cannot be elsewhere.

Silently I ponder our love.

Embodied by the symbol, of the dove.

Love me.

Please don’t leave me.

We can sit among the creatures,

Explore each other’s features.
