Nature’s Ballad Part 4

Branches and leaves and twigs.

Trudging through.

Woodland creatures scurry,

In the opposite direction.

The beast is near.

Shall I slay him?

Or will he vanquish me?

The beast is treacherous.

Like a headless horseman,

He can appear anytime.

I shall not fear.

Bane of my existence.

The enemy who stalks my folk.

Destroy the beast I must.

My mission.

My work,

My life’s ambition….
