The Hero’s Ballad

He ran through the streets,

chasing villains away.

Put a cape around his neck,

for he’s a hero today.

He would come home each night,

from fighting bad of day.

Give his small son a bottle,

and tuck him away.

A cold beer waited,

for he’s a hero today.

He kissed his wife goodbye,

I will see you later.

He’d stop and pick up some milk,

after slaying the dragon invader.

He loved her so, he remembered the bread,

and a chocolate strawberry.

Home on the way,

for he’s a hero today.
