The way you click your tongue after every bite,

drives me up the wall.

You slurp your coffee,

milk, tea, and once I think a beer.

Why can’t you just eat and drink like the rest of us?

Yesterday you scooped your ice cream with a fork.

You stirred your coffee creamer with the handle of a knife.

Instead of napkins,

your sleeve was covered in crumbs and saliva.

You eat your donuts with a knife and fork.

You dress appropriately for all occasions.

You never use contractions,

your house is immaculate.

Yet watching you eat, is a quirky,

strange, messy…quirky…. thing to watch.
