Daily Prompt: Bookworms

The Daily Prompt states: Grab the nearest book. Open it and go to the tenth word. Do a Google Image Search of the word. Write about what the image brings to mind.

Photographers, artists, poets: show us BOOKS.

Stacked high on shelves,

rows of colorful bindings.

Page after page of adventure,

horror, mystery and romance.

Some history too.

Humor is always welcome.

New worlds created on thin sheets of paper.

Characters, people, places,

all come together in sentences.

Books bring us knowledge and joy.

Sadness and truth.

We learn, we live through books.

Sometimes they are stacked on their sides,

spilling over on floors. Don’t trip.

Libraries dot the landscape.

Books are everywhere to enjoy.
