Daily Prompt

The Daily Prompt states: You’ve imbibed a special potion that makes you immortal. Now that you’ve got forever, what changes will you make in your life? How will you live life differently, knowing you’ll always be around to be accountable for your actions?

Photographers, artists, poets: show us LONGEVITY.

Longevity: A Poem

Eternal life.

Unending dreams,

are actual reality.

Forever lasting.

What will I do?

I must be careful.

I will always be known,

always accountable.

Do I care?

What can be done to me?

Those who accuse,

will die.

I will still be.

Those who accuse,

will pursue.

Will eternal life be bliss?

Constantly running,

fearing, ever watchful.

Immortal I am,

I shall choose peace.

I will do right, as best I can.

I will help myself by helping others.

Mere mortals will come to need me.

For eternity is better lived in peace.

Immortal I am,

everlasting peace I aim to achieve.
